The Blind Photography Project
Photography by the visually impaired is in the remotest of our imagination as most of us are unaware that they can also see, they just do it differently! I can show how to use a camera, they can show us how to see. With the Blind Photography Project we have found different ways of understanding the environment around us and break people's perception of the blind as non-visual.
If we provide with tools and skills blind people will be able to participate in the creation of arts. Photography will be the bridge between sighted and blind, empowering blind people and enabling them to show others their own view of the city. The things we don’t see.
